This course is offered for 0.3-0.6 ASHA CEUs Intermediate level. To receive ASHA CEUs, the participant will attend each course in its entirety as well as complete and return a self-evaluation form.

Think Outside the Box: Building Collaborative, Innovative Speech-Language Programs in Schools
Presenter: Cassandra Natali, M.S. CCC-SLP
The session will focus on highlighting three innovative programs in the schools: a coffee cart program for elementary school students in special education classrooms, an art-based social skills group for adolescents, and an adaptive shared storybook reading program in preschool classrooms. Consideration will be given to recent data regarding implications and barrier to collaboration as well as the importance of building belonging for students with disabilities.

Developmental stuttering is often approached clinically through observable speech behaviors, yet growing evidence indicates that stuttering reflects the interaction of multiple developmental systems. This presentation adopts a multifocal, developmental framework to examine how speech-motor control, emotional reactivity and regulation, and cognitive factors jointly shape stuttering behaviors and influence therapy response, particularly in preschool and early school-age children.
