CNYSLHA Mini Grants (In memory of Sandy Ladd)

CNYSLHA would like to honor our past president, Sandy Ladd, who passed away in July, 2014. Sandy was a wonderful colleague, friend, Speech-Language Pathologist, and advocate for individuals with communication impairments. Sandy often used creative cooking and craft projects to work on many speech, language, and communication goals in small and large groups, often collaboratively with other teachers or staff. We wish to honor her memory by offering Mini Grants ($50 - $200) to enable projects or activities that members would typically have to pay for out-of-pocket. Consider holiday crafts or gifts for all your clients, cooking within 1 session or collaboratively baking something special with many groups, creating a special bulletin board for your whole faculty to view, or designing individual journal books. These grants are open to any current member of CNYSLHA, and will be funded through raffles and also non-mandatory contributions included on the yearly membership renewal form. We are hoping to keep Sandy's memory alive through projects she would loved to have been part of, offering our members a chance to develop their projects that would have been cost-prohibitive.
